Give teachers basic needs, build mental health of children

Children are the most vulnerable in war and crises. And we want to help them. Our partner organisations are experts in helping teachers to build mental health and social emotional support. So that’s where we want to reach out.

Here is the need, as explained by Tatiana in Ukraine

The fund will be used to help with the following needs:

  • Financially support 250 displaced Ukrainian educators in their basic needs so they can continue working with students and families as much as possible.
  • Provide educators, refugee students, and their families with training, coaching and other tools to support their psychosocial and emotional needs, and enhance their resilience, which will be critical for the mid-range and short-term recovery.

These children need our support today!
Donate and give them a part of their life back.

Why teachers & parents?

Why
schools?

According to the World Health Organization, schools are one of the most important settings to build children’s positive mental health because of:

Time Students Spend in School.

Schools can lay a protective foundation for a lifetime of mental and emotional health for many generations, making the investment sustainable

How can education and wellbeing make a difference?

  • 77% of refugee teenagers will not continue High School education in the countries they go to.
  • 99% of the refugees do not apply to any University.
  • Anxiety and depression in adults have a direct impact on children. Witnessing a parent in a state of anxiety can be more than just momentarily unsettling for children.
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are traumatic childhood events caused by abuse, neglect, or other often persistent stressors, like witnessing violence. Each ACE experienced in childhood increases a child’s risk of health and social issues.
